What can only be described as a plush, fur like lining, these are labelled as all weather resistant, and windproof. 

We tested these and our model was 5'3, dress size 12 and shoe size 3/4 and the knee highs were long enough to fit perfectly to the knee cap, if your feet and or calves are larger, they will sit much lower on the calf.
